ID Item Why deferred
DEF-1 Settlement with peer institutions that run their own private ledgers, and the netting venue that reconciles them. A first deployment has one operator. Keeping the mechanism possible costs nothing (REQ-SL-2). The arrangement does not exist yet. See OQ-32, OQ-33.
DEF-2 Owned custody as the default mode of a new account. V0 ships both modes and the switch between them (US-A5, US-A7). The integrating party chooses which mode a new account starts in. Delegated is the initial default. Making owned the default assumes a recovery model that every holder can use (REQ-AU-9). See OQ-13, OQ-14.
DEF-3 Disclosures verifiable by a construction, not by aledgent’s signature. REQ-PR-6 requires the weaker posture to be declared, not hidden. See OQ-23.
DEF-4 Hiding the transaction graph and counterparty identity from a party that can observe the book’s storage. V0 hides amounts and access. It does not hide that an account was touched. Each further layer of hiding carries maturity and audit risk out of proportion to V0. See OQ-22.
DEF-8 Sub-account structures under a ledger account. REQ-LA-1 and REQ-LA-6 cover the known cases without them.
DEF-10 Covering settlement-layer costs from a metered allowance instead of a funded position. REQ-SN-2 requires the position and its alarm. The allowance model changes the economics, not the requirement.
DEF-11 Encumbrance under standing rules (US-C5). The three-layer model is fixed now (REQ-KER-3), so it costs nothing later. No V0 story needs it.
